• The curriculum studies at H.W. Mountz have been developed by teachers in conjunction with the New Jersey Department of Education's Division of Teaching and Learning. The core subject areas of study the curriculum encompasses are: English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science/Technology, Social Studies, World Language, Visual and Performing Arts, and Health/PE.

Our curriculum is aligned with the New Jersey Student Standards for Learning. In addition to student learning standards and outcomes, our school curriculum includes: subject introductions, sequence of instruction, educational resources, formative assessments, summative assessments, 21 century skills, and instructional best practices.

H.W. Mountz teachers and administrators will continue to have collaborative conversations about curriculum and instruction. Having a viable, strong standards based curriculum ensures our school community that student learning and achievement continue to be our focus and goal at Mountz.
